Lady Gaga was recently criticized for performing onstage in a wheelchair during a concert, but Bette Midler took to her Twitter account to let the world know that this shtick on wheels is over 20 years old.
According to the Divine Miss M, “Dear @ladygaga if you think a mermaid in a wheelchair seems familiar – it’s because it is! You can see it on youtube 24/7 – with ME performing it.”
